Forgive my ignorance, but is this something official from Ferrari, or just a fan render of a possible Ferrari LMP1, cause I haven't heard anything official about this from Ferrari themselves.

I saw this too and got excited until I saw Santander. That's Alonso's sponsor, and not likely to be on a LMP car.

I would love to see Ferrari factory prototype entries again.

I am holding out hope that Ferrari will eventually take the LMP1 plunge. There would be so much to love about them banging around with Nissan, Audi, Toyota and Porsche. If they do make it back, I hope Ford would also join the fight. That would be awesome.
